Bifrost Initiative Expedition

The newly founded Norse Exploration Corp. is recruiting CMDRs to help with the deployment of the NEC Fleet Carrier "Huginn" in the Odin's Hold Sector, halfway between Colonia and Sagittarius A* as part of the Deep Space Support Array.

About the expedition

The Bifrost Initiative Expedition is the first step in the creation of an highway in the Colonia/Sagittarius A* route with the objective of supporting the area in two ways.

  • Offering station like services to explorers including Universal Cartographics and a Redemption Officer;
  • Offering pre-mined Tritium fuel to carriers moving through the sector.

The target system

The system designated for deployment is Schee Flyi DN-I d10-8604 and other than being about halfway between Colonia and Sagittarius A* it has the following characteristics:

  • Presence of every kind of surface material in the system;
  • A landable planet with Magma Spouts with an above average gravity;
  • A terraformable Water World for long term colonization of the system;
  • An icy ring with hotspots of precious minerals (among those are 2 Void Opals, and 1 Low Temperature Diamonds).

The expedition

To prepare for the expedition the carrier will be loaded with a full stock of Tritium, after that the expedition will be split in two parts:

  1. the first part will be centered on deploying the carrier, so the waypoints will be in systems containing icy rings to top up the Tritium storage;
  2. the second half will be a trip to Explorer's Anchorage and will pass through scenic waypoints.

After arrival to destination, CMDRs are invited to join any other existing expedition in support of the DSSA. The expedition departure is planned for June 26th 3306.
