Witch Head Nebula

Arrived at Witch Head Science Centre. This was my first visit to an asteroid base and was impressed at the quality of the installation. I plan to pass through the Orion Nebula and to the Flame nebula, through Barnard's Loop and proceed to the Seagull nebula and Thor's Helmet.

The view from WHSC is breathtaking. The gas giant it orbits is spotted with beautiful brown and grey storms which contrast with the surrounding creamy-beige coloured clouds. The Witch Head Nebula itself is a deep violet and the crimson of Barnard's Loop and blue of the Orion Nebula sitting behind it is truly stunning.

There are many planets in this system, which will be tedious to scan but almost certainly worth the trouble. However, I've been nearly interdicted twice since I entered so I may have to leave early.

A few of the sights along the way.
