In honor of Tiffany and Angel

I bought 2 ships in honor of my dogs that died. Originally, I was going to only buy one for Tiffany which died almost a week ago (10/7/19). But it turns out I never bought one for Angel. Because I don't know the date she died, I just made the ID "ILOVEYOU".

I honestly don't think I will use the ships, but at least their name lives on in some way. I wish I could've done more.

The last picture I have of Tiffany (the dog) before she died. This was taking a few hours before she was put down.

Right now, I'm sitting at the station and I'm going to rest. I'm way too emotionally drain to do much anything right now. And due to this event, I'm not going to push myself too hard to figure out my next move. But as I sit I think I have a few choices.

  1. I can just rest and not come back for a long while. (Like months or a year)
  2. I can just head out to the trip I came off of and keep going.
  3. I can work on my rank so I can buy better ships down the road.
  4. I can just think about what next.

I like the idea of 1,3,& 4. I can tell you right now that I don't have it in me to do a long trip, so 2 is pretty much out of the question for the second. I just miss my dogs too much, and this is much harder than I thought it would be.

Looking at getting a new ship

For the first time, I might drop out of the expeditions I'm currently in. Like I won't officially drop it, but I'm not sure I will keep going.

Right now I'm at Mjolnir's Wrath. I came here since it has a shipyard, and I wanted to figure out if any of my current ships is named Tiffany or could be. My MK3 ship is just named "personal ship", and I might rename that after her. However, I think the paint job I have on it might be iffy. So my other option is to just buy another ship at this station. (sidewinder or hauler) So here is my options.

  1. I can go back to SOL and jump 39 jumps using the highway. This will take about a day or less.
  2. I can transfer one of my ships to the current station which will take a day.
  3. I can just buy a new ship (while not as high end as I wanted), and I can name it after her.
  4. I can go to the discount station (which will take about a day to get to), and I can get a proper ship for her.

If I get a proper ship, I would like it to be a nice looking white ship since she was a white dog. I looked at the cutter, and I simply can't afford it. One I can afford and I do like the look of is the Dolphin. It is a passenger liner. (It takes 37 jumps to get there)

I like option 4, but I will decide in a few hours.

What I'm worried with is I just go home is I will just stop for another year or so. And there is a few places I would like to go to.

While coming to the station I'm at now, I took a few pictures.

Trying to figure out what I want to do

So I got most of my system on the ship like I liked it. I just have to fix the HUD color.

I am going back and forward between going to the furthest point or going back to SOL. Because my dog died, it taken the wind out of my sail so to speak. I think I'm going to take a look at how many jumps the highway will take.

With that being said, I jumped 2 systems to get the feel for my ship since it has been soon long. It will take me a day to get back to normal.

I'm back

Due to several things, I had to take a break. I haven't jumped out of the system yet and won't until I get the hang of things. Some of my equipment broke, and I had to fix it. I have to modify a few things however.

Now, the big reason why I am logging this is to remind myself to buy another ship in honor of my dog Tiffany that just passed away. Sadly, I had to put her down due to cancer. She was a good dog, and she deserves her own ship.

As far as the expeditions. I might have to drop out. I'm not sure if I have the time to do it. But I might try anyways since I don't have enough money to get an Anaconda.

Any case, I think I will start going one way or the other by the start of next week.

Lets go shopping

So my ship is back up, and I was just dropped in the system I was trying to jump from. 30 jumps later and I bunch of new systems, I made it to the store. The data I collected between got me a good 6mil CR.

I'm heading right now to start the next expedition. I'm going to see if I can stop by a station or 2 in between to repair and restock my repair unit. I'm taking the highway, so I'm sure my ship will take a beating by the time I just get to the expedition. I'm started about 254 jumps with the highway.

Right now I have 212 jumps to go. I think I will hit the center in a good 3 to 4 days of jumping. I might go there and just rest for a bit.

Stranded

I decided to go on another expedition. This one will require me to go to Beagle Point. Before going straight there, I wanted to stop by the founders world to pick up a higher class fuel scope.

The problem is, during a jump from a neutron star the power went out. So I'm not sure which system I'm in. Right now there is enough power for basic things. Hopefully when I wake up the problem fixes itself. I believe I was about 30 jumps from the founders world.

Apollo 11 Day 4 (Final)

On the way to the next waypoint, I came across a string of new systems with water worlds. I got this picture at one of them. By the time I got here, I made half of the amount I lost yesterday.

enter image description here

And I got the following from a system next to the waypoint.

enter image description here

And the following is from the waypoint.

enter image description here

enter image description here enter image description here enter image description here

While on this planet, I went looking for some materials for the repair unit. I was only able to get 20 units of what I was looking for.

The following waypoint was 18 jumps. On my way there I found a few new system, and one system with a moon really close to a water world. I decided to land on the moon, and take a picture of the water world going behind the moon.

enter image description here

enter image description here

After making it to the 8th waypoint, I found the only landable planet has a high gravity. I took a quick picture, for the log. The sky is just green. Other than that and some nebula showing up. There isn't much to this one.

enter image description here

Going to the next waypoint will take 8 jumps.

At the last waypoint , I was able to scan 2 planets and a beacon. At this time I made almost double what I lost when my ship went down. Below is some images I taken. The first one, I'm not sure where those white dots are at. I've seen them a good 15 jumps out. I need to figure this out, and maybe I can explore that area later date. I showed it to others, and they think it's NGC 7822 cupid's arrow. I'm thinking they are right.

enter image description here

enter image description here

enter image description here

enter image description here

From here to SOL it's about 42 jumps without the highway, and 34 with. I instead went to GM Cephei to dump my data. Selling the data got me a good 10mil CR than what I lost. I'm going to spend a night or few here, but SOL is about 42 jumps from here too. Cupid's arrow is about 13 jumps, so that is an option.

Any case, I am allied with this system and I'm at least done with this trip for now. enter image description here

Below is the entire trip.

Apollo 11 Day 3

I made it to the following waypoint, but I found some new systems on the way. I'm a bit shock since it is kinda close to the bubble.

Anyways, below is some pictures I took at waypoint 5.. Oh, and there is is no way to land at this station.

enter image description here

I went to one of the planets to get some materials for the repair unit. I got the following pictures while there. While on the ground, I tried to do a stupid trick. This took my hull down to 68%.

enter image description here

Now as far as the next waypoint. I did go to it, but my ship broke down. In short, I tried to land on a planet to take a few pictures, but I didn't know it was a high gravity planet. Anyways, the tow brought me all the way back to the station I started from. It cost almost 10mil CR to repair and get everything back up and running. I also lost all my data that I could sell. I don't see any point in going back to waypoint 6, so I'm going to head to waypoint 7. While at the station, I'm not seeing any meaningful thing in the next waypoint. But, I'm still going to it to see what I can see.

Right now I'm halfway between. From the station to the waypoint it was 33 jumps. I'm at 15 jumps right now. I did find some new systems, so this could help with the sting of losing 10mil CR.However, I think I will really get that money back when I do another deep space mission.

Apollo 11 Day 2

Out of 637 people who started this expedition, 18 already completed and 8 abandon within 24 hours. I found this out while seeing if anyone else is keeping a log of the expedition, and I needed to make sure the expedition was logging where I went.

Anyways, I started today only a handful of jumps to the next waypoint. Before taking off, I took a quick picture.

enter image description here

After getting to the 3rd waypoint, I didn't find anything really that noteworthy other than some metal planets. Because I was bored, I went on one of the planets to see what I can find. I did find Polonium, which I never dealt with before. I'm not sure what I can use it for.

Anyways, below is some pictures of me messing around. Note, I stopped because the SRV's health went down to 12%.

enter image description here

enter image description here

enter image description here

The following picture was taking in a system nearest to the following nebula to the following waypoint. This took 7 jumps to get to.

enter image description here

And lastly I got a few pictures of waypoint 4.

enter image description here enter image description here

Looking at the following waypoint 5, it looks like it's 15 jumps from waypoint 4. Due to this, I'm going to be spending a night or 2 at waypoint 4. I looked at the planets, and none of them had anything I needed. I need to keep an eye out for some materials for the AFM. Vanadium is the harder one to find in large numbers. Looking ahead, I think I will be getting done within 2 or 3 days from now, giving I don't stay somewhere over multiple nights.

As far as the next waypoint, I looked ahead at what public info I could find to help plan on my next moves. Luckily, it looks like a great system to take some pictures. There is also some beacon or something around the water world there. I don't know what this is about since the pictures shows something that looks like a station. If the pictures don't lie, then this will be a first for me to see a beacon look like that. I am actually looking forward to seeing this upcoming system.

Apollo 11 Day 1

Listing to the news, I heard something shocking. I kinda figured people releasing 4,000 slaves would cause major problems. But I'm shocked some of the former slaves are asking to be slaves again.

Anyways, it turns out there was 2 or 3 massive group jumps from my location to the next waypoint. Sadly, I missed them due to timing issues. Maybe next time.

When I launched from the station, I got this pretty picture of the planet right next to the station. I have to say, this is one of the better looking planets I seen. It's just too bad the station is so poor it admits to running out of money and water.

enter image description here

As I was going away, I got this gem. enter image description here

1 jump from waypoint 1 I got this. It almost looks like something blown up.

enter image description here

And lastly, the following came from the Robin's Egg Nebula (waypoint 1). I was able to land on one of the planets, and take some awesome pictures.

enter image description here enter image description here enter image description here enter image description here enter image description here enter image description here

Now Waypoint 2., which is 13 jumps. I didn't find anything interesting about this system. It seems very normal, and I don't see any photo moments. Since Waypoint 3 is only 5 jumps, started heading towards this.

I got the following pictures at a neutron star I found between. The interesting thing about this place is it's the first time I ran into Non Human Signals that I know of. I wonder if I need to watch my back out in these parts.

enter image description here enter image description here enter image description here

I'm 3 jumps from the next waypoint. With the FSD supercharge, I'm looking at 8 jumps from where I'm at now to the following. So I'm not sure how many I will hit tomorrow. Looking at the waypoint 4, I found a nearby system I might check out. LBN 623 Sector PD-S b4-5. There is nothing there but a star, but it's on the edge of the nebula. Depending on things, it could be a good place to get some quick pictures if waypoint 4 doesn't do justice.

With that being said, I'm going to camp out near this neutron star. I'm getting a little tired, and losing this ship will be a 10 mil CR mistake.
