IC 289 is a planetary nebula in the constellation Cassiopeia. It was discovered by Lewis Swift in early September 1888. The nebula contains NSV 1056, a Wolf-Rayet star of 4 stellar masses. A tourist beacon for viewing this nebula can be found in nearby system IC 289 Sector DL-Y D17 (source).
