An orange giant at the far end of the Sagittarius-Carina arm. The star has a radius of 35 solar radii, and the eruptions reach a height of an additional 10 solar radii. It is presumably the last giant star located in the spiral arm before it slowly fades out towards Beagle Point (Source).
