After the drive, I could now finish the DSS engineering and the stripped down shield. Only a few tweaks on internal modules and I am fully on spec to DW3.

For that I need a few materials from ships, so I went hunting with my corvette. Still a good ship, hunted a few elites down. however one fight with a python broke my shield. Seems like that python was in an invisible wing with two others. Not a big deal. After I finished the python, I turned around and saw that the wing of it was two fcking condas. No wonder why my window shattered. Thanks to good modules I still had time to kill them before I went back to haxel.

But it speaks for the shield if I do not notice two condas on my ass for two minutes. Anyway. Made 12mil and some materials

Had a few busy days. A friend hinted to me that I should not get a new FSD. To explain, I was going to get me one of those new SCO ones for my conda and engineer it up to spec. according to my calcs I would get ~2ly more and could boost. So why not?

He pointed me to a tec broker. Seemingly some has incorporated thargoid tec into FSDs in some sort of organic hybrid drive.

So I had to get one. I visited some brain trees to get materials, scanned wakes for half a day, traded a bit and then only one thing was missing. Components of a thargoid titan FSD… or their equivalent to it.

That sounded quite a bit too dangerous for my conda, but then I remembered my old xeno research clipper. It was even better than I remembered it. 500m/s without boost. Over 630 with. Also fitted with all scanners, field neutralizers and so on. A perfect fit. With that I jumped to the nearest titan wreckage.

I had not seen one intact.. or alive.. but that scene was scary. The size is one thing, but it was sad to see the carnage. Meta alloys, hearts, many biological parts… dead interceptors.. I tired to visit this place with respect while searching.

After a while I got my drive parts and left. No thargoids visited at all. I jumped to the nearest broker and got the new FSD. I had no idea how thargoids would react if they would scan me with the components in my cargo and I was not keen on finding it out.

In the end: the FSD is worth it. Nearly 82ly. Maybe I will get one for my other ships too.

I knew my travel to the outer dynasty site was long. I mean, over a year to look around, but hell did I miss things. A new cobra? Thargoid motherships that look like the big ground sites? (I knew it) Some Mandalay that can jump dangerously close to my conda, a new FSD.. seems like I need to engineer a bit. Especially since I heard a new DW is in the planning.

However I now could actually use some of my credits. Got the Mandalay. 50ly without engineering is crazy. But I also got the new panther clipper, lets see what it can haul.

Next step is to look around and see who of my friends is still alive. I also need to talk to the others in HR 6421 about my findings.

I found a new girl near Fincien and decided to help her out a bit. Even if she just had gotten her sidewinder, she was not like the standard “and where are my new millions?” pilots. She looked thru the black board and did courier missions for some small bucks. But even more interesting: she barely had her license and the first thing she did was switch off the landing assist. Told me she wanted to learn how to fly and not let her ship fly. That when I saw she had the right spirit. I helped her with a few trading routes and ship selection. While I did some surface scanning, she had her cobra. Not long after that a type 6. We talked a bit about exploration and before I could talk to her again, she had an ASPx and headed of into the California. I had told her about something cool near the mahon base, but she told me nothing was there. I had visited those pumpkins before myself and I was quite sure they can not walk.

Seemingly I was wrong. I got back into my conda, jumped to the nebula myself, landed there and had to see it for myself. The complete field was gone. Has the research base relocated them? Or was that someone or something else?

Flying for nearly 5 month now and I am finally here. The opposite point of our galaxy. Beagle point. Sol is over 65kLY away. Not that I am connected to Sol in any way, but it feels strange. The last Station was at Sag A*. If something happens I am on my own. No station in the next 30kLY. But that is the true spirit of exploration, right? Being out here only with my loyal conda. Her FSD war running non stop the last hours. And she still runs fine. I packt 4 SRVs to get materials for AFMU refills and repair drones. I had not one percent of damage in the last 40kLY. But better you have everything and not need it as the other way around.

Anyway, I will stay here a bit longer. See if anyone shows up. I am still more than good on food and water, so there is no need to hurry. On my way back I will investigate at the locked areas behind Sag A*. Something tells me there is something that I should not find. Or perhaps that someone doesn’t want me to find.

I will restock at the new station at Sag A* and plan the second half of my way back from there. The most important thing is to sell the exploration data. I cant wait to see on how many stary, moons and so on I could get my name on. And most likely I will be officially Elite when I sell. Hopefully no one has taken my exact path and sells before me. Maybe I will stop at colonia again.

But I need to get in contact with the others. Seems like someone found new clews or something according to the zurara. So maybe my next stop will be the Rift (one again).
