Begin Log.

It appears many colleagues use this log thing in the galaxy and yet I have taken so long to try it out. I wonder how useful this will be in my travels. Time will tell. In the meantime, I should probably fill this with information about recent events rather than leaving it empty.

I recently discovered a data page that displays the oldest market data that has not recently been updated while running cargo missions for the latest Pilots federation request. I have since been keeping an eye on this data page in hopes that I might be able to help out by updating some outdated information for the benefit of fellow pilots.

I was able to find some free time today from all other duties and decided that I should give this personal goal a try. At first, I was quite excited and plotted a course for the first entry in the list, a base called "Taylor Nutrition Site" in HIP 33368. It was fairly close, and I have a very capable ship, so the travel was not a problem, but I was very disappointed upon my arrival that this site would not appear on my scanners. I even tried to fly close and scan the system with probes, but no dice.

From what I can tell, this might be caused due to me not having a planetary approach suite for landfall (on-foot) exploration. Due to circumstances, this is just not something I can equip my ship with currently. To confirm, I flew to a system explicitly marked as non-odyssey exploration, and I was able to land and update the market data of the station there.

I wish there were a way to sort out stations that required on-foot exploration and stations that did not. Would make helping out much easier.

I will try to utilize this logging feature in the future as I find the chance to make the time. See you in the stars, commanders o7.
