Tonight I began our journey to catch up to the rest of the Enigma Expedition. We began the journey from Jataya, rather than Ainunnicori, as it was closer to our previous position and still carried the ship components for Hugin that the ship required. I had initially WP6, Thor's Eye, as out goal, however we only made it to WP4, Heaven's Lathe, before succumbing to fatigue. Myself and the crew need rest.

Tonight marks the first time I have used a neutron star to supercharge my FSD. It was a daunting feeling at first, and I admit to being rather nervous on my first few boosted jumps. My nerves were greatly outweighed, however, by the sheer exhilaration and adrenaline I got from all of our boosted jumps tonight. My technique still works though. At first it was quite frustrating, and at one neutron star, Swoiwns HY-F D12-37, it was down right terrifying. After two failed attempts at entering the cone (I came too close to the star and the safety protocols dropped me out of supercruise), I finally managed to get us firmly into the cone. The magnetic turbulence the ship experienced in this particular cone shook Hugin, and myself inside, all over. As a result, I accidentally activated the emergency drop sequence, dropped from supercruise, and became stuck within the cone. Hugin took significant damages. Heatsinks malfuctioned, life support is damaged, the AFMU is damaged, the canopy was damaged almost to its breaking point, the cargo hatch is pretty much written off, not that I was carrying any cargo anyways, and the FSD was compromised, however there were no personnel casualties, and injuries were minimal.

When the FSD finally came back online, we managed to escape the star's cone, after which I tasked Senior Engineering Officer Kenny Davis and his small team to begin emergency repairs immediately. The canopy is back up to snuff, the FSD has been fixed almost completely, and the thrusters were temporarily patched up. After those repairs, we limped out of the system, this time getting the entry to the cone right. Kenny has his team fixing what they can while we're on the move, but the majority of Hugin's issues will have to wait until we make port. Finding a station to dock at will be tough out here. Most likely waiting until WP8, at Eagle's Landing. On the bright side, I feel like I'm starting to get the hang of this neutron star stuff, but I still need work. Tomorrow we will try for WP6, maybe WP7 if we can manage it.

Today, with the help of CMDR Daerist, I have begun to kit out my aspX, Hugin (Odin-1), for the Enigma Expedition, the first fleet expedition I will be taking part in. Currently enroute to Ainunnicori to purchase a 5A FSD as well as a few other core components. After that, I shall begin my journey to meet up with the Enigma Expedition.
