So in order to get a fleet carrier I'm mining void opals. Surprisingly satisfying, searching, exploding asteroids then gathering the booty. A few run in's with pirates but so far managed to avoid them. Best of all there's a void opal hotspot in my current home system. I'm sure I'll get bored soon but that's part of the charm, try something for a while and then move on. I'm not even sure if I want a fleet carrier but I'd like the option when they're available. Currently averaging 200 Mil per trip so I should be ok pretty soon then I think I'll look at ranking up with either the empire or federation.

Time will tell.

Ok, so I got to triple elite and feel great, only been trying since the original BBC version in 1984. Having spent the time grinding Thargoids to death I need a quiet peaceful time by myself. So I though go for the centre of the milky way and guess what. Got bored before I even started, so I've decided to try a little mining. it's quiet, peaceful, if the pirates don't find me, with the occasional bang. Should keep me going until I can face total solitude.
