So as it turns out, I fried the playback passing a touch too close to a Neutron Star. Whoops, can't get that fixed until I'm in port. No worries, the onboard programs can transcribe. I hope.

Anyways, we're at waypoint Peak. Specifically, it's the system flatteringly known as BD+46 1067. I don't like that one much, I'm gonna call it something fancy when I get back. Maybe something like 'Ranger's Eye'. You know, dramatic and all. I wish there was a landable planet in this system, but it's all stars and a single Metal-rich. I'd love to have some barbecue and watch the nebula churn, but apparently 'High Methane Levels Detected' is dangerous for human health.

Oh well, it's still a pretty sight. Next stopover is a Wolf-Rayet due west. Maybe eight thousand or so. I'll take a nap here, it's a good place to hide away anyways, and then I'll get moving once the Frame Shift's been repaired.

Kodi out.

Hey, this thing still works. Cool.

So it's been about two weeks since I headed out from the bubble. I've got the Phantom pulled out of the shop, made some high-grade changes to her flight systems so I can push out some good jump ranges. Nothing like those diehards that will probably end up setting up a colony at Beagle Point, but it's enough to putter about in a loop of the nebulae.

Speaking of, been to two on the outbound leg. Monkey Head's was a good stopover point, nice and peaceful to watch the purple swirl around while the engines cooled off on some ice world. You know there's some Earthlikes out there who have no idea how lucky of a view they have. Maybe we'll visit them someday. Anyways, waypoint #3 is this planetary nebula that my plotting system won't even let me jump to. Not for lack of trying, really. When it's three thousand lightyears above the galactic plane, I get the sparsity of stars. So it'll take some clever routing and an excess of augmented jumps, be it neutron stars or otherwise.

At the very least, it'll be a hell of a view.
