    "Finally fixed the drive, more monotony. Can't believe it's
    nearly six months sice we set out from Riedquat. Did I
    say Riedquat? I meant Reorte. It's getting to me, this
    endless emptiness. The guys are showing the strain. Three
    more months before we can turn and head back. The stars
    are thinning out, you can the whole galaxy just
    hanging there..."

    guy, he went completely doolally. We've not seen another
    soul for weeks. Just us and this ship... alone... in the
    darkness..."

• Today I visited the remaining two settlements in the Formidine Rift and gathered their log entries.
• After that, I jumped back to an asteroid base, to sell the data I got from the settlements. After arriving there, I decided to take a look at a megaship that is even deeper in the Formidine Rift than the settlements.
• Now I'm on my way to that megaship and I already did 2/3 of my way there. I hope to reach the ship tomorow.

    "Looks like I drew a short straw somewhere along the line.
    These long range missions pay well, but it's a year out in
    the void. A year ! We're out far beyond the frontier. The
    boys call this place the 'Formidine Rift'. Apparently that
    means 'terror' in some old earth language. Nice. Just
    looks like more space to me."

    "Finally arrived in place after five months of hyperspace
    travel. Now we have two months of laying a bunch of
    beacons before another five months travel back home. At
    least I'll have enough credits to retire by then."

    Whatever it was wasn't human. At least, that's the
    scuttlebutt going around the decks. Everyone is looking
    out of the canopies now. We're seeing some strange lights
    during hyperspace transits. Terror? Yeah, we got some of
    that ..."

    scanners dropping in and out, systems restarting. Ship is
    limping on. Everyone wants to turn about, but if we don't
    complete the mission we don't get paid. No one wants to
    give up those credits either. You expect to turn around
    and see ..."

    "We're done and we're heading home. We picked up some
    heat signature in the last system. Definitely something
    there and it wasn't any profile I had seen before.
    Something was watching us. There's something evil out
    here, and it doesn't like company!"

• Today I felt better and jumped to another system with a settlement, where I landed.
• After scanning all the beacons I left the planet and planned on jumping to the next settlement, but when I did the first jump, my shoulder started to hurt again, so I decided to land next to the settlement, where I started today.
• At least I got the information of the Gamma Site settlement, so I don't need to land there again.

• When I woke up this morning, I wasn't expecting the gravity from the planet, so I fell out of my bed and hit my shoulder. It still hurts badly, so I won't visit the other settlements today, because I can't fly like this.
• I don't know when I'll be abled to pilot my ship again, but it shouldn't take longer than a few days.

• After a long time I can finally continue writing my log entries, because now system authorities aren't searching for me any longer and my log-files would have helped them to find me by tracking the signal of the upload.
• But now I can write again and I can say that I've done very much in the time since my last entry. I was for example in the Barnad's loop nebula and in Maia when the thargoids attacked.
• Right now I landed next to a settlement in the Formidine Rift, the "Formidine Rift Beta Site". I scanned all the data-points and got some information what happened here.
• My next stop will be at one of the other settlements that are out here, but I don't know which one exactly.

• Today I reached the last outpost before I will return to the bubble.
• This outpost was completely under construction and I had trouble to find a landing pad, so I left right after I sold my exploration data.
• I didn't travel very far, because I bought a new AI for my ship and to test it I stayed in a system and tried many of the commands. But in a few hours I'll start jumping into the last few star systems until I'm in the bubble.

• Today I left Hillary Depot because the people there were not very friendly.
• Now I'm heading towards another recently constructed asteroid base, that is still outside of the bubble. Right now I'm 10 jumps away from it, but I'm too tiered to keep flying. So I'll keep here for a few hours to sleep and start flying again when I'm awake again.

• A few minutes ago I landed on Hillary Depot, where my ship was scanned. Sadly the scan destroyed all my older logbook-files and I don't remember everything that happened between my last logbook-entry I uploaded and now.
• But the good thing is, that a scientist gave me 8 million cr. for my exploration data!
• I don't know how long I'm going to stay here, but I hope to see the bubble again soon.
