Taurus Ink Cloud

Today I have finally left Pleiades and reached my next waypoint - Taurus Dark Region or, as I like to call it, a big ink cloud in the sky. There are a lot of them around in the Galaxy and I'm planning to visit at least one more between the Witch Head Nebula and Barnard's Loop. I believe I can already see it in FSS, as its blue-ish background makes them easier to find.

The system I've ended up in has 5 stars and 33 planets, all clumped pretty closed together. There are quite a few bio and geo signals, so I'm hoping for some juicy codex discoveries.

The views from planet BC 3 are stunning, I got three beautiful pictures from the very same spot on the planet, only changing the camera angle. It was definitely worth it!

I plan to visit a few more systems around the cloud and then depart to Witch Head.

Beautiful views

Today I've seen some truly spectacular planets. Not much to add, just absolutely stunning shots.

First this, first that, first blah blah blah

Still at Pleiades. I went to Maia to see my first black hole. I flew all the way to the exclusion zone. It was terryfying, but it's good to know that your ship won't let you go any closer than is safe, no matter how hard you push your engines. Almost as if there was an invisible wall! The views near Maia B were really trippy. I'll probably see more of these in my career. I can't wait.

From Maia, I went to Atlas. Scanned these juicy HMCs, can't wait to sell the data in Witch Head.

I'm now on my way to Pleiades. I've went through a few systems, mapping stuff along the way. Not first on anything, but I hope I will get some "first discoveries" once I'm further out. I'm still at a somewhat popular route...

At Pleiades Sector FW-V b2-1 I picked up two biological signals on planet A. My first bio signals! Finally not steamy rock, tho I must say that what I found there was pretty similiar to fumaroles... Guess I can't see all the cool stuff space has to offer just yet. I landed in a tiny crater, which was barely large enough to fit my ship and I'm now going to sleep among these loud, supernova-eating (as my codex told me) organic chimneys. Hope I won't have nightmares...

First barnacles

Today I've reached Pleiades. I stopped at Merope and saw my very first barnacles. Cool stuff, I've heard rumors that some questionably lucky commanders saw Thargoids actually interacting with them. I'd be both terrified and excited to see it myself one day...

Oh, I also took some stunning photos along the way. These are definitely going into my photo album...

First expedition

Today I've started my first expedition. The plan is to visit most nebulae laying between the Bubble and Horsehead. This includes Pleiades, Witch Head, Orion, Running Man, a few "dark regions" and probably a few I forgot to call by name. After I'm done I'll either go back to the bubble or sell my data at Witchhead and go to California Nebula. We'll see how things turn out...
