Sunday Stroll to Hutton Orbital

This being my first log entry, I feel obliged to put in some back story filling in what I've been doing for the six hundred and thirty seven hours prior to this entry.

From the Sidewinder to the Anaconda and the Beluga Liner, I have flown many a ship. Thanks to friends and word of mouth, I have been able to acquire a sum of money to allow myself to switch ships on a whim, fulfilling what ever desire I have at the moment. This has ranged from combat, to trading, and even an unlogged trip to Sagittarius A* (not logged as this was done prior to uploading my flight logs).

On this one day in particular, I felt inclined to make a trip to Hutton Orbital, carrying one hundred and twelve tonnes of Performance Enhancers purchased from Snyder Enterprise in TZ Arietis. The profit margin on this run is minimal, and probably not even worth the two hours it is going to take to get to that lone station. Should I be doing this? What does it matter.

Upon entry into the Alpha Centauri system I was greeted by a Felipe Fuentes, a solitary fellow in an Imperial Eagle. Our one way conversation was short.

"I've come a long way for what's in your hold, don't try to run!"

Rude, I'd say, but also courteous. I appreciated the introductory notice by the pirate, but I was not eager to return the favor. I turned tail and pushed forward the throttle for my Lakon Type-6 to full, heading in the general direction of Hutton Orbital. Thanks to the notice, I was able to pick up speed in super-cruise allowing a great lead between myself and the pirate.

Zero point one nine light years from my destination and my comrade in space lane, Felipe, was lagging behind by twenty five thousand plus light seconds. It was around that time I received the details for a contract by a Mister Friend Schwartz working for Federal Congress based in Sol. It went along the lines of 'plans were leaked by the enemy and our people are in danger. Please deliver these plans to us that you magically acquired from me messaging you.' Very well. I was going to be compensated for it to the tune of twenty thousand credits. No issue for myself, seeing as I am only in the next system over. Abraham Lincoln, the station this data is destined to find its way to, is my intended next stop after my pit stop at Hutton Orbital.

One cup of ramen and a cup of coffee from my one man galley, I approach Hutton Orbital. From one hundred thousand light seconds out I watch as the binary pair slowly grow in the forward view of my canopy. My velocity is slowly decreasing. My tailing pirate lost his way, and only minutes out I am approaching alone, or so I thought. Lovely chap in a Viper Mark Four seems to be on a similar vector. This lovely fellow was David Robert Thomas. He managed to initiate an interdiction, but my Type-6 proved more maneuverable than my opponent.

The space around the station was clear, pad three was assigned and quickly set upon by myself. Touch down was quick and easy, my profit been made. After some short repair, rest, and relaxation I load up for my trip to Abraham Lincoln in Sol. Lovely Sunday Stroll to Hutton Orbital.
