Late start

I got a really late start on my day today. I had a lot of paperwork to catch up on, and I couldn't let it get any more backed up as it was so, I just slogged through it and then I put in about five hundred light years toward the end of the afternoon with the Mandalay. There is an exo highlight though that I'll get to later in the report. Once I reached about five hundred light years distance, I called the carrier forward to the system Blaa Phreia CS-R d5-35 which is where I am currently in. The carrier is orbiting the planet 6 A which has one exobio signature on it, a bacterium which I promptly located and sampled. It is in this system that I chose to end the day's journey.

I chose this particular planet to end today's journey for a couple of reasons, the first is because it's quick money in the bank, hopefully. And the second is, there is the off chance that the exobio is a more rare, one off find like Stratum Tectonicas. Well, I was pleasantly surprised and am happy to report that the latter was the case in this event. Well it wasn't on this planet but a few jumps back in the system Blaa Phreia GW-V B34-1 planet 3, there grows Fonticulua Segmentatus on a Neon atmosphere world which falls just below Stratum Tectonicas on the Vista Genomics Price List. As far as I can remember, this is the first time I've ever seen or sampled this particular species of Fonticulua before, and on a first footfall world makes this discovery quite fortuitous.

My trip report is as follows, I made seven jumps today, four were into main sequence star systems, one was into a neutron star system and two were into white dwarf star systems. Tomorrow I will try to make more distance toward the bubble as I have finally cleared my desk of this monotonous paperwork. That should conclude this log entry.

Bigger step

I made quite a bigger step toward the bubble today than I did yesterday in fact, I almost doubled the distance I traveled yesterday, almost.. I'd like to do the same thing tomorrow, we'll see how that plays out. I have a lot of paperwork that keeps stacking up and I'm finding no time to get through it, so I need to set aside some time soon.

Today's trip report is as follows, I made twenty-nine jumps. twenty-one of those jumps were into main sequence star systems with no problems or issues. Five jumps were into white dwarf star systems and three were into neutron star systems. Once again, the Mandalay performed flawlessly, and all systems are nominal. I really love the Mandalay and her flight characteristics, She's a good ship. The carrier made four jumps to catch up to me, and we are parked in orbit around Blua Phrua XA-Q c21-10 planet 2 A where there is a single exobiological signature. I may go down to find it just for the hell of it before I continue my journey back to the bubble, we'll see. That will do it for this log entry.

Big step

Today I took a big step toward my goal of reaching the bubble. I also managed to pick up a couple exobiologicals in the process including a Stratum Tectonicas which was pretty darn lucky if you ask me. Along with an exo-curricular activity I also made time to mine about one hundred and fifty tons of Tritium for the carrier which made three jumps today for a total of nine hundred and fifty-nine light years. I am going to try to keep this pace up for a week or so, maybe longer and see if I can't get my ass back to the bubble in short order. I have things I'd like to accomplish when I get there, and I'd like to get there sooner rather than later.

The trip report reads as follows, I made nineteen jumps in the Mandalay today, within those jumps, I encountered fifteen main sequence star systems and four white dwarf star systems and covered nearly one thousand lightyears distance with the carrier in tow. I could just jump the carrier two thousand lightyears an hour in theory, but I would then miss out on all the carto and exo discoveries.

Tomorrow I will try for another one thousand light years in the direction of the bubble and see how it goes. Who knows, I may try for fifteen hundred if all goes well, I'm feeling rather optimistic at this point.

Routine it seems

I decided not to backtrack but rather to continue onward, glitch be damned. I suppose these things are just going to occur from time to time. Fortunately, it's not a regular thing. Anyway, I think I have scratched the 'mining itch' I've had lately, at least for a little while anyway. I feel like I should start to make some distance runs now so that is what I will do starting tomorrow and get back to routine. I'd really like to get back to the bubble.

The trip report reads as follows, I encountered one black hole and one white dwarf star system, that is all. Hopefully tomorrow's will be a bit lengthier.

That should wrap up this log entry, another one short and to the point.

Planet side

Today I did a few jumps in the Mandalay after I got some more trigger time in the T-11 mining Platinum and Painite and various other precious metals and minerals. I didn't go too far mind you, nothing over the top or anything just 200 light years or slightly less. I actually don't know because my flight computer suffered another 'glitch', shall we say. This is the second time that I can remember that that my flight data file has been corrupt. Oh well, perhaps I can figure out my distance tomorrow with a backtrack or something. I'll make that decision tomorrow.

Nothing really more to report other than that and with no data to share I'll just end the log entry here.

Mining in the T-11

I Hopped into the Mandalay today to scout ahead for some mine worthy rings as I was tired of being trolled in the last systems ring hotspots. I made three jumps when I came across a system that had a gas giant with a nice ring with Platinum and Painite hotspots as well as other high-grade minerals so, I decided to call the carrier forward to this new system. The system I am now in is Eord Flyoo CR-V E2-309. There is only one gas giant in this system, and it has two rings and six moons. I had the carrier park around the first moon or what is typically called the A moon.

Once it arrived, I quickly stowed the Mandalay and jumped aboard the T-11 or Icy Mike as I call him, loaded up on limpets and headed out to one of the Platinum hot spots that I discovered in the Mandalay. Well, sure enough, there was Platinum and Painite, Osmium, Gold and Silver. Needless to say, I'll be back tomorrow for some more and I also believe I will attempt to blow up a few rocks as well because I have never done that before like I have stated in a previous log entry. I'll need to fit the Abrasion blaster before I do that however so I must plan ahead, and I need to probably watch a few tutorials first as well. Just thinking out loud. Anyway, all this mining has got me fired up and I haven't enjoyed mining this much in many years. What I am really going to need is a Panther Clipper when I get back to the bubble!

That should do it for this log entry. I'm starving and I'd sure like a drink or two.

Stayed in system

I stayed in Eord Flyoo WJ-A c16-3 for an extra day to mine the ring of planet 1 because it showed two platinum hotspots, one small one in the inner ring and one huge one in the massive outer ring. I spent the entire day searching for platinum but found absolutely none in either ring. Talk about getting trolled by a planet. I did however mine quite a bit of other valuable metals and minerals which made the layover more than worth the time spent here. In fact, I may spend another half day or more continuing to mine just because it's good for my soul as well as profitable. I haven't decided yet.

After I leave this system, I'd like to move the carrier at least four to five hundred light years in the direction of the bubble to continue my way back home. I would like to accomplish that as soon as possible so I will try to avoid as many exobiology excursions as I can. We'll see how that works out.

After a hearty breakfast I'm going to hit it again and make a few more mining runs and see what I can bring back. I may even try a little core mining but that's unlikely, we'll see. That covers just about everything so, that will do it for this log entry.

Keep moving

It was a light day of travel today, but I kept it moving none the less. If I'm going to get back to the Bubble, I have to keep moving. At this pace, it's going to take a while though. I wish there was a happy medium I could find that doesn't pass so much unexplored space so quickly yet still covers distance with efficient exobiological discoveries to catalog. Perhaps some kind of intelligent drone that you could program and send ahead to several systems or something. It could gather system data and return. Then I could plan my jumps based on that data for more efficiency. If I had a couple of those working for me, there is no telling how many discoveries I could make out here! Ah, wishful thinking..

As for today's trip report, I made a total of seven jumps today. Four jumps were into main sequence star systems, two jumps were into neutron star systems, and one jump was into a white dwarf star system. Also today, I found five exobiologicals on two different worlds. The usual Bacterium and Fonticula on each but one had, once again, a marvelous species of Electricae Radialem, this time in a blueish glow. It was really something to see.

The last jump of the day brought me to a system with several ringed gas giants. I scanned each ring to discover the secrets each held and planned my day for tomorrow. At this point I called the carrier forward. I think I would like some trigger time mining minerals and metals for my eventual return to the bubble where I will buy a Panther Clipper and offload this cargo for profit and then maybe colonize a system somewhere after some research. That's about it for this log entry.

CMDR Bullet out..

An average day

There was nothing that stood out about today except that I encountered an unusually high number of neutron and white dwarf stars in my travels. Ten out of sixteen of my jumps today were these special star systems in fact. That's fine with me, Better a white dwarf than a scarier than hell black hole! Other than that, I'd say it was an average day for me. I like average days, they pay the bills.

I did discover a few exobiologicals today, nothing very elaborate or expensive but one that I did find unusual and one that you don't see very often called Electricae Pluma. It had a rose glow or illumination and actually looked quite lovely on the dark world it inhabited. That world would be Voqua LS-I D10-84 planet B 5 A. It shares the planet with Bacterium and Fonticula.

Today's trip report is as follows, six main sequence star systems, five neutron star systems and five white dwarf star systems. I found a nice planet in a main sequence star system with four exobiological signatures that I will locate and sample tomorrow, so I called the carrier to a parking orbit around this planet tonight. This is home for the evening in the system Eord Flyoo EW-W c17-25 and this will end the log entry for today.

Starting 3312 off right

Today marks the beginning of 3312. I was a busy pilot today. I began the year in the first ship I ever owned as a fresh new pilot, the same ship I used yesterday in fact, the Sidewinder I call Patty. I had do some backtracking. After a while I decided to go back to the carrier and get the Mandalay because the Sidewinder was just using too much fuel and constantly scooping fuel. So I returned to the carrier and grabed the Lonestar and headed back to Voqua VK-D D13-366, the system where I discovered Fonticula Fluctus.

Did I say I was busy today? I made twenty-nine jumps in total today plus I managed to squeeze in a few exobiological excursions as well. All I can say is I'm going to sleep like a log tonight. I also have a mountain of paperwork piling up on my desk as well that I need to sort through so, I'll need to get to that soon. I just thank my lucky stars I'm not running a Squadron carrier. I can tell you right now, I would not want that job or its responsibilities.

The trip report is as follows, of the twenty-nine jumps made today, ninteen were into main sequence star systems, seven were into neutron star systems and three were into white dwarf star systems. A total of six hundred and ninety-one light years distance were covered between the Sidewinder and the Mandalay. Between both ships, all systems are nominal. This will end the log entry.
