A gas giant with a primarily hydrogen and helium atmosphere. Water vapour in the upper cloud layers gives a much higher albedo. Surface temperatures are typically around 250 K. Vivid cloud layer colouration suggests bioluminescent organisms. There are vast quantities of free-floating radioplankton – tiny carbon-based algae.
