After weeks of scrounging I managed to scrape together enough cash to pick up a used Type 7 transport. The refit to a mining scow took a few days, but it was worth it. I painted it red and named it after an old documentary I watched as a kid... Red Dwarf. She's tough, and fairly maneuverable for her size. A few hours in the rings should loosen her up for more rigorous work.

Got a huge haul at the ring. The one good thing about being a miner is: nobody knows who you are... At least they didn't til I landed for fuel on my way to sell said haul and got into a fight. Damn authorities seized my load of platinum. Probably going to sell it themselves and rake in a tidy profit.

I bought a new identity in Sol. They told me I would be going to a backwater called Matet. There to start a new life, given everything I needed to make a fresh start. How did I end up here? It's all a blur. But I am fairly certain that HIP 97950 is nowhere near Matet! At least whatever black bag operator was in charge of my relocation had the decency to leave me with the keys to a Sidewinder. She may not be much, but she will get me from point A to point B. At least, long enough to get my hands on some scratch to get some decent wings...
